About the Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride
Bike for clean water at the 18th annual Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride on Sunday, October 6! Hundreds of cyclists participate in the Watershed Ride each year, raising thousands of dollars for the Buzzards Bay Coalition’s work to protect clean water. You can ride, volunteer, donate, or cheer on cyclists as they bike across the beautiful Buzzards Bay watershed from Little Compton, Rhode Island to Woods Hole, Massachusetts.
Why should I ride?
The Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride is a one-of-a-kind community event for cyclists of all ages and ability levels. As a rider, you'll get to ride through every coastal community that touches Buzzards Bay while raising funds for a great cause: clean water.

Who participates in the Watershed Ride?
Hundreds of cyclists have participated in the Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride since the event began 18 years ago. The Watershed Ride draws participants of every age (12 and older), ability, and fitness level from across the region, the country, and the world. Many riders form teams with their friends, family, and coworkers.

Cyclists aren’t the only participants in the Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride. Across the course, dozens of volunteers work together to make the event a success.
Where does the Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride take place?
At the Watershed Ride, cyclists complete 100, 75, or 35 mile overlapping routes across the beautiful Buzzards Bay watershed. The 100-mile route begins at Sakonnet Point in Little Compton, Rhode Island; the 75-mile route begins at Horseneck Beach in Westport, Massachusetts; and the 35-mile route begins at Eastover Farm in Rochester, Massachusetts. All routes end together at a finish line celebration in Woods Hole overlooking Buzzards Bay.
The Watershed Ride is a safe, fully supported event for cyclists of all abilities. SAG wagons provide on-the-road maintenance and first aid to cyclists in need. Riders will enjoy food, beverages, snacks, bike support, and a finish line celebration. Shuttles are available for riders who need transportation before or after the Ride.
