Updates from the Coalition
  • Construction on the Onset Bathhouse for the Onset Bay Center will resume on Tuesday, September 3.
  • Using data collected through the Coalition's Baywatchers program, researchers from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution recently showed that between 1992-2015, increasing algae in Buzzards Bay — a side effect of nitrogen pollution — caused up to $0.67 million in lost benefits from recreational shellfishing. You can read the whole paper in the Marine Pollution Bulletin journal.
